Dr. Anand Suruliraj
Consultant ENT & Head and Neck Surgeon

Dr. Anand Suruliraj

MS., FRACS(ORL)

Dr Anand Suruliraj provides adult and paediatric general ENT services and his areas of special interest include Otology and Head and Neck Surgery. Dr Suruliraj has more than 10 years of post-fellowship experience and has acquired wide experience in sinus surgery, ear surgery and head and neck surgery.

He trained in Ear, Nose and Throat & Head and Neck Surgery at Madras Medical College, a premier institute in India and attained a dual fellowship in Otolaryngology in 2001. Since his fellowships he has worked in various teaching hospitals in India, UK and Australia.

Dr Suruliraj attained Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in May 2011. He has also worked as a fellow in head and neck and skull base surgery in Brisbane in 2011. He is a member of the Australian Society of Otoloaryngology Head and Neck surgery, a member of the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh and a member of the Society of Otology.

He is a Consultant at Westmead Public and Nepean Public Hospitals. He specializes in Advanced endoscopic sinus surgery, Middle ear surgery, Head and neck surgery, Sleep apnea surgery and Pediatric ENT conditions.

Dr. Mithran Coomarasamy
Consultant Paediatrician

Dr. Mithran Coomarasamy

MBBS., Diploma in Paediatrics(NSW), FRACP, FAFRM

Dr Coomarasamy has provided paediatric service in the Western Sydney region over the last 25 years.

He has been working as a specialist paediatrician covering the area from Auburn to Nepean/Blue Mountain. He continues to provide services to the Nepean Public, Nepean Private and Auburn Hospitals. He is also an Associate Physician with the Children’s Hospital, Westmead.

His Paediatric training in Australia commenced at Royal Darwin Hospital with an exposure to a wide range of paediatric diseases including Aboriginal health.

He then moved to Sydney and joined the Children’s Hospital, Westmead where he successfully completed the general paediatric training.

He then completed his fellowship in Paediatric Rehabilitation Medicine followed by completing advanced training in developmental and behavioural paediatrics as a Fellow at the Child Development Unit attached to the Royal Northshore Hospital.

He initiated and ran a multidisciplinary child development assessment team in the Auburn LGA for 15 years. He continues to provide care for newborn babies. This is in addition to the general paediatric service. His interest remains in Child development and related issues.

Dr Coomarasamy has provided paediatric service in the Pacific Islands over the last eight years and has been involved in administrative roles giving innovative and culturally sensitive solutions to the changing challenges of health care in NSW and globally.
